Conrad's is awesome! It came in late into my college years, but it is amazing! Great food, drunk or sober, whatever time of day. The sandwiches and burgers are legit while the tots and fries make you go mmmmm. It has that diner-style setting and it's close to the whole bar scene, which is convenient. The prices are solid, too. This place knows what it's doing and I try to stop by on my trips to EL. And for people comparing it to Menna's, the food is pretty different in my opinion.

Conrad's is THE place to go for a a grilled wrap in EL. I order the spicy chicken wrap. This wrap comes with chicken, cheddar, tots, jalapeños, banana peppers, onions, sour cream, and hot sauce. I replace the sour cream with bleu cheese to turn it into an awesome buffalo styled wrap. And, yes you did read that correctly, there are tater tots on this, and all of their wraps. When I first heard that I was a little hesitant, but after eating a wrap (and a few more since then) I can say that the tater tots are a perfect addition. At the least they give you a little more bang for your buck and ensure that you will be full after one wrap. I think they also add to the flavor of the wrap and its one of the reasons that I enjoy Conrad's much more than Menna's. If you are planning to go to Conrad's after a night out be prepared to wait in line. Conrad's is a popular place and sometimes that popularity can exceed their output capabilities. That being said I never been disappointed and it has always been well worth the wait. Delivery is also an option that has never failed me. The seating in there is mostly booths and is a fine place to enjoy your wrap before calling it a night. I would recommend Conrad's to anyone visiting East Lansing. In my opinion it is a better option then the more popular Menna's.

Awesome place for wraps! I gotta say I had my doubts when walking into this place, it's just a li'l hole in the wall at the corner of its building, & I only came here because Five Guys wasn't open past eleven before my midnight movie....a friend had recommended Menna's Joint, but Conrad's rates higher on Yelp. After placing my order for the number one (cuz it's #1!!!), I was pleasantly surprised to find all prices include tax....the number one with onion rings and a large (32 oz.) drink was exactly $10...I was worried that I wouldn't be full as I was STARVING when I walked in and must be enough of a concern among their customers that they also have "Giant Con-Wraps"....anyway, five minutes after ordering, my food is brought to my table. The onion rings were excellent, very fresh, hot, and crisp. I didn't see any ketchup dispensers but they thoughtfully included a good-sized container with my order. And the main entree: YUMMAY! I've never had a wrap anything quite like this before. Crispy on the outside, warm, and chewy inside. And the unique combo of chicken, tots, and gooey melty cheese was very satisfying. I'm not a huge fan of sour cream, but they didn't slather so much on that it was overpowering. Excellent value, and large enough to satiate my hunger....and my worries about not getting filled up. Only 4/5 because.....well no place is perfect. The bathroom could have used a little attention.....there was no hand dryer OR paper towel dispenser! Oh, well. Overall highly recommended!

Sort of like pita pit but not healthy and without the "create your own toppings" choices. But tastier. I love the space. White block walls with funny posters and plenty of room. I had myself a Philly with steak, onions, mushrooms, banana peppers, tater tots and nacho cheese. The wrap was grilled so that it was flaky and a tad crunchy. It's no gourmet meal, but it's damn tasty for a fair price.

I will never go here again and I will tell my friends as well. Went there the night of March 6th (7 weeks later I still am disgusted) The guy was super rude, came over took my order and I paid him and he gave me back bills and change -WITH his gloves on... went over and made my wrap with the same gloves on and I saw him pick up veggies and drop them on there with his filthy gloves. Also saw him wipe his forehead as well.....Truly disgusting. I will never go back....

I stopped in this little corner spot when I was in East Lansing on New Year's Eve. Best deli sandwich I've had in a LONG time. This corner spot used to be C.D. Wherehouse when I went to MSU back in the day. I never liked that used CD store, and this is a much better use of the space. They also had a bunch of convenient items such as cigarettes, ATM, candy, ice cream, and other good munchies. Check this place out!

God bless Conrad's. Get the best one or the DWB and never pass down on tots. But be warned: if I wasn't already diabetic, this place would do me in.

Detroit has American vs Lafayette. Philly has Pat's vs Geno's. And East Lansing has Conrad's vs Menna's. In this battle Conrad's come out on top by a hair. It does some excellent wraps, and they other great items. French Toast sticks are great. I have a couple of go tos: 1. Hawaiian Reid; 2. C-Burger Wrap; 3. The JFK. Delivery is fast and cheap. I order here 2 out of 3 times. I only go to Menna's when I really my Menna Fry Fix. Otherwise, Conrad's all day.

Very nice quality food and great, fast service! Conrads is doing it right. Also, they are open late so that is a plus in my book.

Hands down the best drunk food! My friends will get conrad's during the week when they are sober but I've only had the pleasure of eating their yummmmmmy burrittos at the wee hours of the morning. Gotta go with the #1 its a hangover cure and always super satisfying.

The Conrad's/Mennas debate is the main factor of hostility between every Spartan. I will tell you this: Conrad's tastes like Mennas only when it's coming back up after a long night of drinking. First of all Conrad's has the jemalty. The jemalty is the most shamefully delicious wrap in existence. It doesn't matter if your sober, drunk, high or sleep deprived: if you're really hungry, go for the jemalty. Conrad's waffle fries are the bomb as well. They also deliver, for when you're too lazy/drunk/high/sleep deprived to walk down grand river. #college

This is the best drunk food along with the most attentive waitstaff you will meet. They have to deal with scores of belligerently drunk people every weekend, but never fail to have a smile on their face. SO much better than mennas. Never leave without the Mac n cheese bites.

Favorite place to eat on campus. Check out our episode of Campus Chowdown where we hit up Conrad's and try to down three giant wraps in 30 minutes: youtube.com/watch?v=BTfn…

Like others, I'd say it tastes like a fresher Menna's AND the people are far less stoned and far more happy to see their customers. Had the #1 and the Reed and both were huge and piping hot. We also had a side of mac and cheese bites which while I felt were a little pricey, tasted amazing. I was excited to see fried pickles which aren't terribly easy to come by around these parts. Overall, I don't think it's a place I'd hang regularly (says my waist and my age) but when we need a quick eat, we'll be back.

Cannot ask for much more. Conrad's has some amazing food and every time I order the Big One, I just want to get more. They pack in the tots and everything else and it really fills you up! Best food to get later at night with your friends when you are all hungry!

It's okay. But there are definitely better burger places around! Five guys is the place to go around here!

Hell yeah!!! Mennas sucks ass, Conrads is soooo damn good. I couldn't place my finger on what i hated about everything at mennas but after eating at conrads you can just taste the difference in freshness and how the food is prepared. Everyone i have gone here with including several others who hate mennas say it is great and definitely worth coming in. most of the menna lovers who i have stopped in with even admitted that conrads is way better. Give it a go!!!

Conrad's is completely grungy and yet somehow wonderful. Really, everything is delicious. Let me start by saying - dem tots. If you enter Conrad's, you've got to order some tots. And really, any place that puts tater tots IN their wraps is a winner in my book. Conrad's is one of those places that is empty at noon and packed at 2AM. Take from that what you will.

I've found myself frequenting Conrad's Corner for my late night study food. Something about chicken sandwiches and tater tots is enough to make a person nostalgic of elementary school lunches. But keep in mind, this isn't your elementary school food, this is much better. With a large variety of chicken wraps and cheese steaks, there are plenty of delicious menu items, and taste even better when sustenance is necessary at the end of the night.

Conrad's is basically Menna's 2.0, I'm not positive, but I've heard that this place was opened by one of the original owners of Menna's. It offers pretty much the same stuff, and is a late night staple in East Lansing. It opened up a few years ago and has managed to stay in business as a single-location, locally owned establishment. That makes it about the only one like that in East Lansing in a time when many similar establishments have closed while national chains have thrived. The place replaced another business called Johnny's Lunch, which was only open for about a year. That's why it has a bit of a 50s diner vibe to it.
